Master Templates as Cornerstone to Develop Everyday Products

The engineering of structures to receive a master template is a critical and complex process that lays the foundation for the manufacturing of most miniaturized systems today. From Master Template to Durable Mold

The next crucial step is to transfer the fabricated micro or nanostructure from the master template to a material that is more rigid and from which many templates can be produced. As the engineering of a structure to originate the original is a difficult step, it is very important to preserve it by replicating multiple copies for further processing. 

 

This is elementary for either prototyping and testing, as well as for industrial production. At 3D AG we have developed our electroforming process for the past 30 years and excel at transfering structures from nearly any master template to durable and rigid tools, so called shims.
