Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Technical Sales Representative with a strong technical background and hands-on attitude to join our team. You will be responsible for driving sales of our technical products and services to new and existing customers. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings and close deals. You will be in control of various projects, from proof of concept studies or component development, to mass production. You will be acting as direct link between our technologies and development capabilities to our clients or prospects, whilst directly reporting to our CTO and CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within defined territories or market segments. Utilize knowledge of industry trends, product capabilities, and service options to generate new business.
  • Maintain constant communication and build strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Manage, maintain and coordinate our internal Key-Account-Manager system to reach sales targets and business objectives of the consulting and project management team.
  • Develop and conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our technical solutions and effectively communicate to prospects and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing agreements to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and services

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Materials Science, Optical, Physics, Computer Scienece or a similar field).
  • Proven track record of success in technical sales or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and solutions, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate value propositions and overcome objections.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English & German.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
  • Technical certifications or additional training in sales techniques is a plus.
