GarmenTrust™ is a sewable hologram developed and engineered by 3D AG. The unique properties of this clothing and textile label are a first in the industry. GarmenTrust™ is an encapsulated hologram that can be sewn onto any textile and apparel. Holograms as adhesive labels are used by brands in all industries, but a durable solution for holographic and sewable textile labels was missing. It took our team at 3D AG many years to find the adequate material for sewable encapsulation. The specifications of durability, transparency and flexibility are challenging to combine for a sewable clothing label. Today, GarmenTrust™ is applied worldwide in fashion, sportswear, technical apparel and for various gear.

Successful GarmenTrust™
Audit Report
Application as Sewable Textile Label
The sewable GarmenTrust™ labels are manufactured in our own production facilities in Switzerland. Stringent production and quality controls assure that each GarmenTrust™ label performs according to the highest garment ISO standards. The Swiss quality testing laboratory “sqts” conducted various examinations and evaluated the GarmenTrust™ product requirements as successful with all tests passed and specifications fulfilled.
UV Aging Report Summary
Exposure to 500h of light (light source for ISO 105-B02 color fastness against artificial light) shows no product variation on GarmenTrust™, test was successfully passed.
Wash Resistance Report Summary
50x at 60°C according to DIN EN ISO 6330 non-commercial washing and drying methods for testing textiles was successfully passed.
Scrub Test Report Summary
According to DIN EN ISO 12947-2 abrasion resistance of textile fabrics with the Martindale method (10,000 revolutions, max. 120’000 tours, abrasion load 12kPA) only slight abrasion was visible on GarmenTrust™ labels.
Digitalization with the Sewable Hologram GarmenTrust™
Various additional features can be combined with GarmenTrust™ so it can be applied as a smart digitalization solution with serialized QR codes, NFC chips and more. GarmenTrust™ was developed as a holographic security label for product and brand protection of textiles and garments. The goal was a tamper proof textile label that could be easily sewn directly onto the product. By combining multiple features together, it enables a lot of value within an eye-catching textile label.
